CREATION OF SUSTAINABLE DESIGN (DESIGN)

A team of experienced designers creates long-lasting furniture that can not only be used continuously, but can also be easily disassembled, renovated or re-used in products if necessary. The Be Green product consists of a height-adjustable table and a mobile drawer container with three drawers. The kit was designed with the ecological use of the panel in mind to minimize scrap. The tabletop and drawer container are cut from 0.5 standard LMDP 18mm sheet, scraps amount to 5.97%. (Normally, standard products have scraps of 20%).

SELECTION OF SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS (RAW MATERIALS).

We carefully select the sustainable materials we use in our production processes and are interested in their origin. By using wood responsibly, we stop the loss of forests and contribute to the preservation of the forest ecosystem. LMDP panels with E 0.5 formaldehyde emissions are used in the production of all standard furniture. For the production of upholstered furniture, we choose sustainable fabrics from natural wool, natural recycled wool, recycled polyester, which is extracted from plastic collected at sea. All these fabrics can be recycled again and again. The threads used in the production of upholstered furniture are made from recycled polyester.

PRODUCTION PROCESS

The certified efficient management system “Lean” has been implemented in the production, which helps to optimize the company’s processes and ensures the production of products and the provision of services at minimum costs. Lean allows you to achieve more efficient results with less staff effort, resources, equipment and less time spent on inefficient tasks. We have implemented and are constantly improving the environmental protection management system ISO 14001:2015, the quality management system ISO 9001:2015. We aim to improve technological processes and products, reduce their impact on the environment.

USE, REPAIR, RE-USE

The waste left after the production process is carefully sorted and responsibly transported for recycling. We also give our customers the opportunity to contribute to our sustainability policy by refurbishing worn out furniture and reusing it instead of buying new furniture. The rest of the furniture that is no longer in use is donated to institutions that organize social activities, thereby contributing to their well-being.

COLLECTION OF DISCONTINUED FURNITURE

Both unused furniture collected from customers and production waste are responsibly collected and given to material recycling companies. Since 2019, when the Unified Product, Packaging and Waste Accounting Information System (GPAIS) appeared, we have joined it and responsibly declare waste.

RECYCLING

The most common materials for recycling are plastic, cardboard, all wood waste (furniture panels, solid wood, etc.), metal. All the furniture produced in our factory is packed with easily recyclable materials, which can be responsibly sorted after the furniture is assembled.

By cooperating with sustainable waste recycling companies, we are happy that new products are created from the returned, no longer needed, finished materials, which later return to us as new raw material from which we can repeatedly manufacture furniture. The values established in the ERGOLAIN company allow the business to develop successfully year after year.
